Nikhil Naikal has served as CEO of Kinet­ic since co-found­ing the com­pa­ny in June of 2021. An expert in devel­op­ing and launching

high-pre­ci­sion, autonomous sys­tems, he pre­vi­ous­ly served as CEO of Map​per​.ai, a provider of high-def­i­n­i­tion, machine-read­able maps that was acquired by Velo­dyne Lidar, where he sub­se­quent­ly served as VP of Soft­ware Engi­neer­ing. He began his career as a Com­put­er Vision Engi­neer at Fly­by Media, which was acquired by Apple. Naikal holds a MS in Robot­ics from Carnegie Mel­lon Uni­ver­si­ty and a PhD in Elec­tri­cal Engi­neer­ing and Com­put­er Sci­ence from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Cal­i­for­nia, Berkeley.
